So, after mentioning the laptop STD to him, dear, sweet, chocolate covered Nate went to Office Depot and happened to find a virus software on sale. Not just ANY virus software...heavens no....but the one that Consumer Digest rated top. (If that man buys that damned magazine one more time, I shall be forced to dispose of him in truly unladylike fashion. For the record, Batan, I will not be purchasing an HD tv, GPS system, or tax software, even IF 83% of my demographic recommends it.) He was hoping that he could bring the laptop up in safe mode, install the software, and it would recognize and remove the virus. While this didn't work, he did notice something else strange on there....
N: Heeeeeeey. You've got Quickbooks on here!
K: Umm...yeah....I've got it on the desktop too.
N: Huh. Wonder how that happened.
Seriously. Nate would prefer to believe that Bill Gates has taken to designing viruses that mysteriously install Windows products on my computers than to take the time to remember the conversation we had about me getting it for the business books.
Ah well. He's good at lifting heavy objects.
